Immediate opening: hoist operator (North Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in McKenzie County, North Dakota. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. The role involves rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $140 per day plus benefits.
