Elevator service technician — Newport

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Newport, Wales. You will work on a high-rise construction site. You will test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
