Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. You will stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
