Tyre fitter — Northwest Arctic Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tyre fitter in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. The job is in a fast-fit workshop. What we are looking for: • 1+ years' experience fitting and balancing tyres • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly Day to day you will repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches; demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine; vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres; replace faulty valves and reset TPMS sensors; rotate tyres front-to-rear as per the service schedule; fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
