Urgent requirement: we are hiring a plumbing and sanitary fitter in Douglas County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy plumbing and sanitary firm. Day-to-day duties: • Cut, thread and join pipes with solvent cement or threaded connections • Trace and clear blockages in drains, traps and gully pits • Detect and fix leaks at joints and concealed pipework • Carry out pressure testing on newly laid pipe runs • Chase walls and floors for concealed pipework • Replace worn washers, seals and float valves Requirements: • Sound knowledge of PPR, CPVC, PVC and GI pipe systems • Physically fit for lifting, bending and crawling • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
