Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Nome Census Area, Alaska. The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
