Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Walsall, England. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Six days a week, one day off.
