Steel fixing chargehand — Maverick County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Maverick County, Texas. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Overtime paid at a premium rate.
