Gas appliance installer — Madison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas appliance installer in Madison County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy gas installation company. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Able to read isometric and site drawings Your main tasks: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
