Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Lancaster County, South Carolina. You will work at an oil and gas facility. Day-to-day duties: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment What we are looking for: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
