TIG welder — Saint Tammany Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
