Vacancy available: concrete pump mate (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Winnebago County, Iowa. Requirements: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours On the job you will handle: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $140 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
