Ideal candidate: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules Your main tasks: • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
