Brick mason wanted in Butler County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Butler County, Iowa. You will be based on a busy housing site. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
