Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear £16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
