Heavy equipment operator — Presque Isle County

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Presque Isle County, Michigan. You will be based in an open-cast mine. What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster The role involves check for underground cables and services before digging; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension.
