Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Nelson County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
