Fabricator-welder wanted in De Soto Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an automobile body shop. The role involves: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
