Mason's helper — Merrick County

Now hiring: we are hiring a mason's helper in Merrick County, Nebraska. You will work with a civil contractor. Your main tasks: • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer What we are looking for: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
