You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool 4+ years on the tools preferred.
