Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. The role involves: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
