Pipe tig welder wanted in Union County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Union County, Tennessee. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode 2+ years on the tools preferred. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
