Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Colleton County, South Carolina. The job is at a wholesale meat market. What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Your main tasks: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Rotating shifts.
