Immediate opening: finishing presser (Wales)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a finishing presser in Monmouthshire, Wales. You will work at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Your main tasks: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
