Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Bamberg County, South Carolina. Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Full-time, day shift.
