Gas metal arc welder wanted in Buena Vista County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Buena Vista County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
