Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
