Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Logan County, Nebraska. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
