Heavy equipment operator — North Somerset

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in North Somerset, England. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals You should have: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
