Fabricator-welder wanted in Ballard County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Ballard County, Kentucky. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
