Garment machinist — Jones County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Jones County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Full-time, day shift.
