Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Nguru, Yobe State. Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
