Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites On a typical shift you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
