Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Taos County, New Mexico. On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
