Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Jones County, North Carolina. The job is on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Rotating shifts.
