Vacancy available: blocklayer (Wisconsin)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Calumet County, Wisconsin. You will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
