Sewing machine operator wanted in Prince Edward County

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Prince Edward County, Virginia. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
