Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Day-to-day duties: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Part-time with flexible hours.
