Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Juneau City and Borough, Alaska. The role involves erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
