Sheet metal welder • Allen County, Kentucky

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Allen County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
