Offshore rigger wanted in Lee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Lee County, Iowa. You will work at a container port. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness The role involves read lift plans and method statements before starting; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $180 per day plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
