Vacancy available: we are hiring a furniture maker in Carroll County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Your main tasks: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists 3+ years on the tools preferred.
