What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
