Fettler wanted in Carbon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Carbon County, Montana. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
