Great opportunity: shuttering and concrete hand (Kano State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Bichi, Kano State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. You will patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Six days a week, one day off.
