Machinist wanted in Washington County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Washington County, North Carolina. You will be based at a busy garment factory. On a typical shift you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
