Now hiring: tile installer (Vermont)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tile installer in Grand Isle County, Vermont. Day-to-day duties: • Fit tile spacers to keep the grout joints even • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Run silicone sealant into corners and expansion joints • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas Ideal candidate: • A good eye for level, plumb and even grout lines • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
