Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Abbeville County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator.
