Join our team: vertical milling machine operator (Georgia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Baker County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm Ideal candidate: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to grind and set HSS cutters 1+ years on the tools preferred.
