Crawler crane operator wanted in Montgomery County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Montgomery County, Iowa. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Understanding of hand and radio signals 5+ years on the tools preferred.
